Who is Shepherd Docs for?
It's mainly for pastors, but anyone studying their Bible can use it. I built this app for myself because I wanted a better way to study my Bible. I don't preach, but it's been an extremely helpful tool. It's best for any notes and docs that are built around Scripture. If that's your goal, give Shepherd Docs a try.
Are my notes really mine?
Yes. Only you can see them. They aren't shared or sold. Bring in what you already have, and export to Markdown whenever you want. A lot of notes apps lock you in. These stay yours.
Why can't I use free alternatives instead?
Free apps don't send you a bill. They make money by using your notes and selling that to advertisers. Shepherd Docs doesn't do that. No ads, no sharing your content. A small monthly payment means you own the content, and only you can see it.
I'm not great with apps. Can I still use this?
Yes. Shepherd is built for writing, not for figuring out software. There isn't much to learn. Open it and start writing.
What Bible translations do you have?
BSB, WEB, KJV, and ASV right now. More are coming.
Does Shepherd use AI?
No. I may add AI later to help you find insights in notes you've already written. Not to write for you. The writing is the work, especially if you preach. That part stays yours.

I'm Luke Netti. I serve as a deacon and lead worship at my church. I built Shepherd because I needed a better way to study Scripture. I wanted something that worked for me.
